A personal journey with well being after a major crash


At Result CIC, we often talk about the importance of a positive mindset in our workshops and coaching sessions highlighting its importance in developing resilience during tough times. The focus is on having a growth mindset. This allows:

  • mistakes to become learning experiences
  • recognition of the achievement of personal goals after hard work
  • being kinder to ourselves.

Being kind to yourself often sounds easier than it is. Admitting to any stress in the workplace can be seen as a weakness. Stress which is not dealt with can often lead to health complications which can be highly debilitating. Over the past 2 years I have spoken at two ‘Well Being seminars’ at the Chancery Bar Association aimed at lawyers with ever increasing work levels. We are Result CIC, a community interest company. We work with people who feel marginalised or excluded to become more confident about their abilities and to fulfill their potential. We also work with Directors, Managers and CEOs who need support to bring about positive change in terms of diversity and inclusion in their organisations. We each have personal experience of the issues affecting the people we work to support, including disability, immigration, mental health and sexuality. We have also worked in senior positions in industry and government.
