This month we feature news of events in the North that celebrate and recognise the kinds of diverse communities that Result CIC has been working with over the years. Our work has supported refugees, people from the global majority and those who identify as disabled, Deaf or neurodivergent.

IWM North
14 October 2022 – 2 January 2023
Photojournalist Anastasia Taylor-Lind has been visiting the Ukraine for over 8 years and has been documenting the situation there since 2014. DaDaFest International Festival 2022
Various venues throughout Liverpool and online
26 October - 3 December 2022
Our association with DaDa goes back several years, including working on artist development programmes. So it's great seeing some of the work of those disabled, Deaf and neurodiverse artists coming to fruition as part of this year's International Festival. Work will be both in person and online and there's a 'pay what you decide' scheme ensuring that access in more ways than one is at the heart of the work. As always, the festival culminates with The Rushton Lecture.

Photographer Allie Crewe celebrates Black, Asian and minority ethnic staff and communities through a series of portraits and stories from people working together to improve health and wellbeing in Salford. 'Still I Rise', the title taken from a poem by Maya Angelou, features a portrait of Result CIC's Hormoz Ahmadzadeh, and is part of Black History Month. It's a welcome return of the exhibition which was previously seen at The Lowry in 2019, now with two more years' worth of portraits.
