Ukraine: Photographs from the Frontline

Photojournalist Anastasia Taylor-Lind has been visiting the Ukraine for over 8 years and has been documenting the situation there since 2014. Whilst the eyes of the world are very focused on the current war, these stunning images are a timely and moving reminder that the conflict has been developing for much longer, and of the refugee crisis that has been one of the results.

DaDaFest International Festival 2022

Our association with DaDa goes back several years, including working on artist development programmes. So it's great seeing some of the work of those disabled, Deaf and neurodiverse artists coming to fruition as part of this year's International Festival. Work will be both in person and online and there's a 'pay what you decide' scheme ensuring that access in more ways than one is at the heart of the work. As always, the festival culminates with The Rushton Lecture.

Still I Rise
Salford Museum and Art Gallery
1 October - 4 December 2022

Photographer Allie Crewe celebrates Black, Asian and minority ethnic staff and communities through a series of portraits and stories from people working together to improve health and wellbeing in Salford. 'Still I Rise', the title taken from a poem by Maya Angelou, features a portrait of Result CIC's Hormoz Ahmadzadeh, and is part of Black History Month. It's a welcome return of the exhibition which was previously seen at The Lowry in 2019, now with two more years' worth of portraits.
