A helping hand for your social project

If you have ever found yourself thinking ‘I bet there is someone who could help me with this, but who are they and how can I find them?’ then Result CIC can help.
We are lucky to have a wide network of contacts on which to draw. Often the answer comes from our own network. Sometimes we need to ask the right person in our network the question.
We used our 2018 away day to take a critical and strategic look at what we do. Part of this involved re-assessing how we use our time.
We realised that we get fairly regular requests to 'find that person' with particular experience or expertise. Sometimes this is for a specific job. At others it is a request to act as a sounding board. We also get asked ourselves to test out new ideas. Because Result CIC is all about people and their strengths and potential we love responding to these questions. We also realise that we have an unusually diverse network which has a lot of value.
So we decided to offer a new service which we are calling ‘social consultancy’.
This is a flexible service whereby you or your organisations can draw on our experience, expertise and network to help you develop social projects. By paying us for this service you then support our social enterprise including its Inclusion fund to be able to support individuals who feel excluded when they most need help.
This service may include, but is not limited to:
- helping you find a wider range of candidates for a specific job role
- commenting on and developing socially-focused plans or strategies
- taking part in a social focus group or event to offer an expert angle
- giving feedback on how a project might affect a wide range of people from different backgrounds or from a specific group (e.g. people with mental health issues or deafness).
Here are a couple of examples of what we have done so far:
- adding value to a BBC pilot programme for managers by incorporating specific and known contacts for diverse recruitment
- taking part as an expert witness in an event with a major funder exploring a new strand of work.
We also have interest from a local authority in acting as a ‘critical friend’ as they develop their approach to boosting disabled staff recruitment and retention.
If you think this sounds useful and that we could help answer your questions, please get in touch.
