As the founder of his own company, Result Coaching, which continues to operate, Andy was already established in his field. Having just completed a major project funded by The Elton John AIDS Foundation, Andy was ready for a new challenge. 



Hormoz had also established his own coaching company, You Do, and was working as a freelance facilitator for a global training company based in Singapore, Simitri. 



Conversations continued after the holiday, with both men sensing an opportunity and desire for coaching and training that specialised in supporting marginalised people and groups. Their professional and lived experience suggested that this area of coaching was much needed, and would be personally rewarding.



Result CIC (Community Interest Company) was registered in June 2012 to take the work of the partnership forward.



The combination of Andy’s experience and Hormoz’s network in Manchester secured their first contract via Manchester City Council, supporting people with HIV in remote areas by offering telephone coaching.



Projects with George House Trust, the Office of Disability Issues, and the University of Manchester followed.



By this time, Jane Cordell had joined Result CIC as a fellow Director.



Jane had met Andy at a Disability Rights UK event whilst representing her own company, Getting Equal. Andy then introduced Jane to Hormoz and the two co-delivered a development programme for disabled community leaders in Greater Manchester, funded by Breakthrough UK.



Both Andy and Hormoz immediately recognised that Jane’s professional and lived experience, plus her like-minded commitment to social justice, would bring even greater strength and skill sets to Result CIC, and asked her to join.

Saif Ali joined Result as Co-Director in August 2024. Jane and Saif now lead the organisation.
