Lived Experience Leaders Movement: Responding to Covid-19 with an online programme for the UK Migration & Refugee Sector.

We are pleased to report that Result CIC is one of a small number of specialist organisations who are going to be working with Lived Experience Movement and Clore Social Leadership, who support and develop social leaders so that they can transform their communities, organisations and the world around them.

We’ll be involved with the coaching element of this exciting leadership project for UK Migration and Refugee Sector leaders.

‘The purpose will be to elevate your leadership this summer to improve the lives of others. Applications are now open for the free ‘Responding to COVID-19 Online Summer Leadership Programme’. The programme is designed to develop resilient, effective, agile and confident leaders to better support and strengthen the migration and refugee sector during these incredibly challenging times.’

The programme runs from July to September. It’s all online and free. UK Migration and Refugee Sector leaders can apply here.

Free coaching for people in the frontline during COVID-19

At the end of March we announced that we’d be using our Inclusion Fund to offer free coaching for anyone in a public facing role during the current pandemic. Whilst uptake was initially quite slow, things changed when our marketing associate Rob Martin did a great job of quickly creating a short video. This seemed to be the right tool to create interest and enquiries started coming in.

We have since worked with nurses, shop workers, GPs and Consultants. Some of these coaching sessions are still ongoing and we will report back next month.

However, here is the response from someone who our Director Emeritus Andy Hilton coached:

‘I've been processing what we discussed last week and putting a few of your suggestions onto action. I have to say that it has had a very positive effect on my approach and to my wellbeing. I really have felt more positive over the past week and intend to continue in this way.’
