Telephone or Skype I.M. coaching with Result CIC

Phone_main

Coaching offers a great, and often rare, opportunity to pause and reflect. Often being fully heard by your coach can spark insights you were not previously aware of.

Our lives are accelerating and expectations on people at work are increasing. So the irony is that just when we may benefit most from coaching, we often cannot make the time for it.

At Result CIC we recognize this. This is why we offer flexible coaching which can be by phone or instant messaging method, using Skype for example. We have run two coaching programmes entirely on this basis and offer some of our current project participants coaching ‘at distance’.

While some people prefer to meet the coach and have the experience of being physically with them, including eye contact, reading body language and picking up subtle clues about tone of voice etc, there are several advantages to having coaching at distance:

  • It’s much more flexible time-wise.
  • It can be a more accessible option for people with some disabilities.
  • If you opt for instant messaging method, you then have a copy of the conversation which you can re-read: a useful tool.
  • There is no travel (and the stress it can cause!).
  • There is no need to book rooms.
  • You may feel more relaxed and comfortable talking, or typing, from a situation you choose, such as your own home, or a quiet place.
  • If you are commissioning coaching for their organization, there are potential cost savings.

So if you are thinking about having some coaching, but are put off by the logistics, why not consider one of these alternative methods?
