This annual two-day conference comes to Manchester in March and we’ll be there.
We’re excited to be at this year’s Advance HE Conference being held in Manchester on the 25th and 26th of March at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Manchester Airport.
As well as attending and having a stand where conference attendees can come and talk to us about our work, and our experience in higher education with the likes of the University of Manchester, Birmingham University and Liverpool John Moores University, Jane Cordell will be leading a workshop.
Our session is ‘What are you hiding - and why? An invitation to explore unrecognised and unheard experiences among disabled H.E staff - and what can happen when untapped potential is released.’
The session ties in to the conference theme: Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Conference 2026: Embedding EDI in Higher Education: Tradition Retold, Borrowed Insights, and Bold Innovations.
Advance HE is a member-led charity of and for the sector that works with partners across the globe to improve higher education for staff, students and society. Their three strategic goals are:
- Enhance confidence and trust in HE.
- Address systemic inequalities and advance education to meet the evolving needs of students and society.
- Support the work of members and the HE sector.
Our interactive session will focus on disability, neurodiversity and mental health to discuss ways of seeing our differences as strengths, and to explore how characteristics that make us feel marginalised can be turned around and used as a way to embed EDI practice within ourselves and our institutions.
If you’re heading to the conference yourself, get in touch in advance and let’s arrange a chat. We’ll be in the exhibition space for both days and our hour-long session is at 14:20 on Day 1.

We are what we do and we love what we do.
