Jane looks back – and forward – at what the Result team has been up to.
August tends to mark a pause for the Result team. It’s a chance to catch our breath, take a break and reflect on what has happened and what is coming up.
Endings
We are reaching the end of the biggest DELTA (Disability Empowers Talent) programme with the Civil Service. We had over 80 active participants who took part in 4 workshops (with 5 iterations of each) facilitated by 8 associates. They each had 4 individual coaching sessions with 12 of our coaches. We have received superb feedback about the programme, for example: ‘Opportunities like DELTA send a powerful message that leadership is not defined by personal circumstances or perceived barriers, and they provide people like me with the confidence, encouragement and practical support to believe that progression into the most senior roles is genuinely achievable. Graduating from the programme feels like a significant milestone, and I leave it feeling far better equipped to lead with authenticity, influence strategically, and embrace the opportunities and challenges ahead.’
DELTA is a large-scale, important programme. We are proud to have designed, delivered and co-managed this successfully with support from the Cabinet Office’s Government Skills team.
We completed the pilot programme for disabled Post-Graduate researchers at the University of Manchester in July. This was a coaching- led programme with 5 sessions for each researcher, bookended by two half-day workshops. One participant commented that they ‘We can now set our own limits’. Another commented that it was ‘helpful being in the room with people who have experienced something similar to you - being able to hear about this.’
While both cohorts on these programmes have now concluded, we are looking forward to discussing how they could be repeated– and, of course – improved!
Continuing
Our innovative work with Manchester City Council’s Public Health Department will continue into Spring 2027. Working directly with their wider leadership team on guided action learning sets has been a real privilege. We are looking forward to the ideas this produces.
New beginnings
We are delighted to welcome back an old client (and friend - as they describe themselves and us) - Liverpool John Moores University. Work will start in the autumn to co-create with the University’s Disabled Staff Network and HR Business Partners two training workshops for managers. The content and nature of this will, of course, be led by the University’s own staff, but we anticipate one looking at having more confident conversations about disability and another focused on their Workplace Reasonable Adjustments Policy (WRAP).
We have been busy this summer sowing seeds for three exciting projects, all of them representing new departures for Result on a new scale. We will not know about two of them for a little while (but promise to let you know when we can - we try not to tease!) and the other will be revealed in a couple of months (drum roll!). Suffice to say, we are excited!
If this news update gives you ideas for some work you would like to do with us, do get in touch.

We are what we do and we love what we do.
