Following on from Jane Cordell's blog which asked 'Deaf awareness. Who cares? our coaching associate Richard Jones will be attending Deaf EXPO at Birmingham NEC this week.
We are one of the very few specialist organisations to offer coaching and training to D/deaf people by D/deaf people.
One of our Associates is Richard Jones, a qualified MOE Coach. He has worked in Deaf Charities for the past thirty years and is an accredited Action Learning Facilitator. British Sign Language (BSL) is his first language, allowing Richard to provide coaching to those who use BSL.
Jane Cordell, Result's co-director, became profoundly deaf in her twenties. Since then, she has required communication support to thrive in her professional world, and frequently uses her lip speaking skills to work with D/deaf coachees.
This week, Richard will be attending the Deaf EXPO at Birmingham NEC, the UK's newest conference centred around the deaf community.
'Our mission is to raise awareness and foster inclusion within the Deaf community by advocating for accessibility, promoting Deaf culture, and challenging societal barriers. We are committed to empowering individuals through education, open dialogue, and creating spaces where all voices—spoken or signed—are heard and respected. By embracing diversity, we strive to build a world where Deaf individuals can thrive without limitations.'
If you're there, look out for Richard and our leaflets explaining how Result can support deaf people and organisations based around deaf people. And if you'd like to know more about our coahing and training services, get in touch here.

We are what we do and we love what we do.
