And the winner is...

At yesterday's ceremony celebrating International Women's Day, held at Manchester Town Hall, Jane Cordell won the prestigeous award for Business of the Year for Result CIC.

The prize acknowledges Result CIC's achievements as described here:

'This award is for an outstanding business woman or a business based, or operating in the city who in the last couple of years through their policies or practices promoted and improved skills, training, and employment opportunities for women. Their dedication, passion and handwork has resulted in raising the profile of women and improving outcomes for women in their particular industry or field of work.'

The awards were presented by one of Britain's most successful athletes, Diane Modahl. There were four winners for the following categories: Community award, an Intergenerational award, Business of the Year and the Emmeline Pankhurst Outstanding Contribution to the Women of Manchester.

Jane attended the ceremony with fellow Result CIC director Hormoz Ahmadzadeh.

This was one of several events presented by Manchester International Women's Festival.

This isn't the first time that Result CIC has been so honoured. Jane and Hormoz were surprised to be presented with a National Diversity Award in 2015 when the company was still relatively young.

Congratulations to all of the women who were nominated this year.
