Result CIC delivers Brighter Futures coaching

Blog_main_24

Throughout 2012 and 2013 Result CIC has been funded by Cumbria County Council as part of their Life Matters Programme. Life Matters aims to provide appropriate support to people experiencing a stressful life situation. By providing early intervention the aim is to provide personal support through the stressful situation to prevent it from becoming something more serious, which might need medical or social services intervention.

As part of the package of measures available, Result CIC has been providing a telephone coaching service for anyone living in Cumbria, entitled Brighter Futures. Participants have presented with a range of issues such as:
- Relationship breakdown
- Ill health
- Unemployment
- Recovery from an acute mental health issue.

After completing a series of sessions a client said:
'Thanks for the telephone coaching sessions. I feel I am returning to reality after 11 months of being in a parallel universe. The sessions have helped me regain my brain function which had got distinctly woolly. I felt my mind was stagnating in conjunction with my body. Now a few months on, I am feeling more in control of my future, able to cope better with my illness, thinking clearer and happier thoughts.'
